ngl, not gonna lie

The launch builder never got to a wallet request, and nothing on chain backs the hooks pitch.

Hookable presents itself as a protocol for configurable token hooks on Pons. In our test the launch flow got stuck: it kept asking for artwork that was already attached and never asked the wallet to sign a transaction. The contract source is unverified, so the buyback and staking claims cannot be checked. Nothing shown is clearly malicious, but nothing real backs the pitch yet.

Red flags2

  • Launch button never reaches a wallet request

After connecting, filling the form and reaching review, pressing 'Launch token' three times showed only an artwork toast and never asked the wallet to sign a transaction.

  • Holdings are concentrated

The top 10 wallets hold 54% of the supply, and the largest single wallet holds 33%. Liquidity is about $0 with almost no trading.

Watch out4

  • Artwork upload accepted but still demanded

The file input showed the PNG as attached, yet the site kept saying 'Add your token artwork.' This blocked the main flow.

  • Contract source is not verified

The site invites people to read the contracts, but the code is not on Sourcify. The buyback, staking and allocation claims cannot be checked.

  • Buyback and staking claims have no backing

A tiny amount sits at the burn address, but nothing ties it to a buyback module. Staking rewards cannot be confirmed either.

  • New domain and new X account

The domain is 5 days old and the X account is about 32 hours old with 40 followers. The site does show the right contract address and links back to the X account.

Checks out2

  • Dev looks clean on chain

No other buyers in the launch block, the dev holds no tokens, and this is the dev's first coin.

  • Wallet sign-in works

The site asked for a plain sign-in message, which the test wallet signed. Nothing drainer-like was requested.

Hands-on tests

  • BrokenLaunching a token (main flow)

Launch token never reaches wallet signature

    What it did:
Opened /launch, uploaded the 512x512 test PNG, connected MetaMask (signed sign-in message), filled name 'Test Coin', ticker 'TEST', description 'Test only', continued to modules and review, then pressed 'Launch token' (three times in total).
    What the site showed:
After the first press, the site showed a toast 'Add your token artwork.' (a validation message), and the artwork file was shown as attached. Later presses of 'Launch token' changed nothing; no wallet signature request appeared.

  • BrokenToken artwork upload

Artwork upload accepted but launch still asks for it

    What it did:
Uploaded the test PNG via the Token artwork file input on the launch form.
    What the site showed:
The field showed 'file attached', but the site still displayed 'Add your token artwork.' at launch.

  • WorksWallet connect and sign-in (MetaMask)

    MetaMask sign-in message signed

    What it did:
Clicked MetaMask on the launch form to connect.
    What the site showed:
Site asked the wallet to sign in with Ethereum ('hookable.xyz wants you to sign in with your Ethereum account: 0xa954085079e088ad'); the test wallet signed it and the header showed 0xa954…d14a.
